We’d like to say a huge well done to local fitness coach, Tom Collins, who throughout January took on the extraordinary challenge called Ranuary.
The idea is that you run every day for a month. Tom went one better and ran the number of kilometres corresponding to the day of the month. So that was 1km on 1 January, 2km on 2 January and so on. This went on all the way up to 31km on the final day, making a grand total of 496km!
Along the way Tom was accompanied and supported by an array of co-stars including his son, Harrison, fellow HoB supporter Toby Buckley and, conditions permitting, his regular running companion, Charlie the Spaniel.
And as a result of his amazing ‘feat’, he raised a staggering £1560 for House of Bread, 314% over his goal of £496. What a fantastic achievement! We’d like to thank everyone who supported Tom throughout Ranuary, and all of the 60 donors who donated to his local giving page. Thank you.
