We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting the Next Meal Annual International Conference in Stafford next month. We will be joined by Martin Stone, Founder and CEO of Next Meal as well as many other practitioners from around the world.
Following the success of our 2023 Conference, which brought together service providers from as far as Sydney, Glasgow, London and Los Angeles, the 2024 conference will gather again in Stafford to discuss and share best practice of how to deal with the ever increasing difficulties faced by those who support the homeless and vulnerable in our communities.
At last year’s conference, key note speaker, Rev. Bill Crews of the Bill Crews Foundation, gave an insightful look into the changing landscape of homelessness in Sydney, Australia over the last thirty years. The phrase that resonated around the room was that we are not just feeding the homeless but feeding the hungry. It was a stark reminder of the increasing burden placed on those at Soup Kitchens and Drop in Centres around the world who are trying to make a difference to the lives of those in need. With the Cost of Living crisis pushing more people into poverty, this is an increasing problem faced not just in the UK but globally.
The conference is free of charge for all delegates.
