We are thrilled to soon be unveiling our wonderful Community Garden. Volunteers have been working hard over the last few months clearing the site, and are now bringing it back to life with lots of planting and features, adding colour, texture and wildlife to this once forgotten piece of land.
Earlier in the year, the Stafford site was announced the winner of Prima magazine’s Community Garden projects and work got underway to transform the neglected area into a small, urban garden. Collaboration between the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, Turning Point and House of Bread has meant that the garden restoration has been a truly community affair – and will be enjoyed for years to come by local people.
We’d like to invite you to our Grand Opening which will take place on Thursday, 8th August, when our special guest, Natalie Mageza, will formally open the garden. Come and join us and see how an unloved piece of Stafford has been transformed into something rather special.
