The festive season is often associated with joy, food, celebration, family and giving, but it often brings with it significant expenses that can be challenging for those who already struggle to make ends meet.
It was with this in mind that The Verso Lounge in Stafford very kindly opened their doors on Wednesday, 4th December 2024 to some of our House of Bread friends and people from the community who struggle at this time of year. A total of 37 guests attended the evening event, called A Place at the Table, which proved to be a huge success and put the true meaning of the season into focus. It was a wonderful evening of great food, hospitality and friendship, and more importantly, gave all those who attended a sense of community and human connectivity.
We would like to say a huge thank you to The Verso Lounge for their wonderful community spirit, compassion and generosity, and for reminding us all of the true meaning of the season.
