Here at House of Bread we are always so grateful for the support we get from the local community and are constantly amazed at the wonderful fundraisers you do for us.
Toby Buckley, a House of Bread supporter, is taking on a mind-boggling physical challenge this April. From Sunday 13th to Saturday 19th April, Toby will complete a half-iron distance triathlon – EVERY DAY! This will consist of a 1.9km swim followed by a 90km bike, finishing with a half marathon distance run, every day, for seven days straight. The swims will take place at Stafford Leisure Centre, while the rides and runs will be in Stafford and the surrounding area.
Toby said: “This will be done in aid of House of Bread a cracking local organisation supporting vulnerable and homeless people in Stafford and the surrounding area.
“Throughout the week they hold activities and drop-in sessions providing food, friendship, support and advice available to anyone who comes along. Ask any of their visitors and they will tell you, it isn’t a house that makes a home; it’s the family inside it.
“HoB is like a real home; we eat together, laugh together, cry together and support each other.”
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Toby and wish him all the best in the run up to this amazing challenge. We ask that you give him every support.
