The digital divide is very real in today’s world. Life has gone online in so many areas and as a result, digital poverty prevents some from accessing key services.
To bridge this gap, a wonderful partnership has been developed between ourselves and the Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust (MPFT). Every week, friends access our digital training programme, delivered by MPFT, who also provide us with resources. The programme has been a huge success with our friends being given both the tools, and knowledge, of how to navigate the digital world.
We are delighted to announce that as a result of our continued work with MPFT, we have been shortlisted by them in this year’s ‘Brilliant You’ awards in the category ‘Community Group Co-Production Partners of the Year’. The Award ceremony will take place on 3rd October at The King’s Hall in Stoke-on-Trent. We are looking forward to being a part of this event and meeting with other like-minded people who work to improve the lives of the more vulnerable in our community.
